Chae-woon Lee, the ‘Expectant’, placed second in the Men’s Halfpipe Preliminaries at the Snowboard World Cup

 Lee Chae-woon (17, Surigo), a promising Korean snowboarder, came second in the men’s halfpipe qualifiers of the International Ski Federation (FIS) Snowboard World Cup.

Lee Chae-woon scored 86.50 points in the 2022-23 FIS Snowboard World Cup Men’s Halfpipe Preliminary held in Calgary, Canada on the 10th (Korean토토사이트 time), and succeeded in advancing to the final by finishing second out of 26.

Snowboard halfpipe is a sport in which players perform aerial performances such as aerial rotation and jumping on an inclined semi-cylindrical slope and score points based on basic movements, rotation, technique, and difficulty to determine rankings.

Lee Chae-woon, who received 74.50 points in the first period, raised the ranking by recording 86.50 points in the second period.

Lee Chae-woon reached 4th place at the World Cup held in Mammoth Mountain, California, USA on the 5th and achieved his best personal World Cup result. If he performs well in the finals of this competition, there is a high possibility that he will be able to break his record again.

Valentino Guselli (Australia) took first place in the preliminary round with 87.75 points. Third place behind Lee Chae-woon is Luka Hirano (Japan) with 86.00 points.

The final, in which the top 10 players from the preliminaries compete, will be held at the same place on the 11th.
