KBL issues a ‘warning’ to coach Carrot Kim Seung-gi

Goyang Carrot coach Kim Seung-gi (51) received a warning for making critical remarks toward his former team.

KBL held the 28th 7th Finance Committee at the KBL Center in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul on the 14th and issued a warning to manager Seung-gi Kim. Coach Kim was referred to the Finance Committee for several slanderous acts, including inappropriately mentioning the former general manager of Anyang KGC, his former team, in a meeting with reporters prior to the home토토사이트 game against Suwon KT at Goyang Gymnasium on the 10th.

At the time, coach Kim said, “It was more difficult at Ginseng Corporation” in response to a question related to the two delays in the salaries of the Carrot team and the secretariat staff. I am currently running a team that reduces anything. I am grateful to the general manager (Sam-shik),” he said. When I was holding the KGC baton in the past, I remembered the club’s austerity management policy and answered the reporters’ questions. Accordingly, KBL finished this work with a warning measure.

Carrot, which was founded prior to this season and entrusted the baton to manager Kim, is operated by Day One Sports, which has Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering as its parent company. After last season, it was founded by taking over Goyang Orion. After signing a naming sponsor contract with Carrot Insurance, he participated in the league as the Goyang Carrot Jumpers.

However, Carrot began to raise concerns over the management of the club when he could not normally pay the subscription fee prior to the opening of the regular season of the ‘2022-2023 SKT A-Dot Professional Basketball’. In January and February of this year, even the salaries of the players and the secretariat staff were not paid on time, and eventually they are seeking a new owner and trying to sell it.

Meanwhile, KBL imposed a penalty of 1 million won on Gage Prim, a foreign player from Ulsan Hyundai Mobis, who committed an unsportsmanlike foul in an away game against KGC on the 11th. Prim hit KGC Byun Jun-hyung with his arm in a quick attack situation six minutes before the end of the game and was handed over to the Finance Committee. Referees Lee Sang-joon and Prodigy Dong-han, who failed to point out Prim’s foul, were each suspended for 3 days (at least one game), and referee Kang Gu-dong was warned.
