‘World Cup Winner’ Baran, retired from the French national team “The greatest honor of my life”

Raphael Varane has announced his retirement from the French national team.

“Representing a great country for 10 years has been one of the greatest honors in my life,” Baran said on his personal SNS on the 2nd (Korean time). I felt proud every time I wore the French national team jersey. I thought it was the right time,” he said, announcing his retirement from the French national team.

Baran is one of the world 스포츠토토 class defenders. Baran, who owns an excellent physical at 191cm, is a perfect center back with defensive power, speed, and build-up. Despite the minor injury, Baran is sure to have a presence on the pitch.

Varran, who started playing for Real from the 2011-12 season, became the center of Real’s defense along with Sergio Ramos. He has lifted numerous trophies, including three Spanish La Liga titles and four UEFA Champions League (UCL) titles. He worked with Ramos and was responsible for a real era.

Baran called for a challenge ahead of the 2021-22 season and joined Manchester United, which had shown interest in him from the past. Varane’s team performance was poor in his first season, but this season he is helping United resurface with his excellent defense alongside Lisandro Martinez.

Unsurprisingly, Varane was also a key player in the French national team. Varane’s performance was outstanding at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, when France reached the top of the world for the first time since 1998. He also helped win the UEFA Nations League (UNL) in the 2020–21 season. Unfortunately, he finished runner-up, but Baran showed world-class skills at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Baran is also evaluated as a player with outstanding leadership off the pitch.

Born in 1993, Varane still has excellent skills and can even aim for the 2026 World Cup in North and Central America if he manages well, but he made the unconventional decision to retire from the French national team to focus on his family and team. In an interview with Manchester United, Baran personally showed the interview that he was “ready to give everything to win.”

Finally, Baran added, “Thank you to everyone. There will be moments when we miss the fans. But the time has come for a new generation to take over. There are many talented players. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
